We are opening for The Babys on September 2nd at The Rose in Pasadena – and I am pumped up for this gig!
The Rose is one of the premier rock clubs in Southern California. The Babys hit the Billboard Hot 100 charts in 1977. At the time, they were known to have signed the highest ever contract for a new music act. Their hits included “Every Time I Think Of You” and “Isn’t It Time” Reformed in 2013, original members from the groups music charting lineup include drummer Tony Brock and guitarist Wally Stocker. In 2014, The Babys released their latest album “I’ll Have Some of That!” – the first album in over 30 years – produced by Tony Brock at his studio – Silver Dreams Studios in California.
And the band which I am privileged to play keyboards for is Willard Overstreet. We’ll be up first on September 2nd. Hope to see a full house that night. Members of my band, including me, have had the opportunity to open for numerous name acts including Iron Butterfly, The Guess Who, The Tubes, Rick Derringer and more. Our bassist, Ricky Rat toured with The Monkees as part of their band at one point.
